Diving Key Largo

So I'm not sure if this is a happy or sad post. I finally got to dive Key Largo, and it was awesome, but with the oil spill going on and so near, it's kinda a bittersweet experience. Although the coral in Florida/ Bahamas is extremely bleached and thus 10x less colorful than the Caribbean, the sea life is still amazing. I saw a school of giant

Poor Xero?! Poor me! Everyone I tell is like "Poor Xero!", meanwhile I had to experience the BP disaster equivalent of doody- wondering how to stop the flow, profusely apologizing to the horrified airline stewardesses! But poor Xero ;)

Thanks, the turtle pics came out fun, but damned if I didn't try to catch up to it for ten minutes trying to get a front shot- and never succeeded. He was cruising along like a knife through butter in this incredibly strong current- me, I swam as hard as I could and was probably still going backwards.

p.s.The Jesus Lizard is a good band.

Good years! I'm stuck in the past musically as well- it's only by accident that I discover new music these days- or on road trips where Don has his ipod plugged in. But Jesus Lizard played the VICE halloween show- (oddly themed 1994), so the exposure was unavoidable...
