Well, technically, he didn't actively participate in the killings. He wasn't even present for the infamous Sharon Tate murder scene, he just orchestrated it, like you said. He was present during the LaBianca murders and just instructed his followers on what to do. Anyway, he was convicted with several murder charges (7 I think?) and one conspiracy to commit murder charge and he is on the serial killers list on Crime Library. BUT, whoever does research this one further should really just include "The Family" as part of the Charlie Manson entity.

So which one are you gonna read about? You know you love this shit. :)

is ed gein really a serial killer?? he only killed like 2 people....but he did dig dead bodies up and was amazingly crazy. my faves are albert fish and john gacey, that both take the definition of a psychopath up a notch. im trying to remember the 2 guys who killed a whole bunch of people and tortured them in there shed. they basically enslaved and killed all these women. while one was being interrogated, he commited suicide by swallowing a suicide capsule. any idea who they are?? i cant remember....

Ed Fish and John Gacey are two of my favorites as well. I think Ed Gein only got charged with two but claimed to have many more. (as a lot of them do, anyway.)
