[Open RL--Hospitalized~]

[Tranquility Regional Medical Center is a fairly typical hospital, if a little on the small side. Mikaela wasn't able--or didn't care--to finagle a private room for Blackout, so he's been installed in one with two other beds. His bed is the last in the room; a rolling screen offers some visual privacy, though it won't do much to muffle ( Read more... )

Cuddy was there, talking to one of his doctors about his condition before occasionally looking over him. Stupid Blackout, she thinks before thanking him and going to sit by his bed.

He vaguely recognized the face but dismissed it--after all, human faces were difficult to differentiated, and he felt the same level of vague recognition for all the hospital staff who'd had anything to do with him.

When the organic came and sat, though... Hn. None of them had done that. His eyes narrowed and he stared.

If Mikaela'd been thinking about it at all, she would have realized how strange it was that the guy she was wheeling around in a wheelchair in the hospital was not actually a patient there. But Tieria couldn't walk, and he'd definitely wanted to come see Blackout--why, she didn't know, but she wasn't going to try and talk him out of it--and this was the easiest way to move him around.

She paused outside the room the receptionist had told her they'd put Blackout in. "You...sure you wanna do this...?" she asked hesitantly, without much hope he'd change his mind at the last minute.

Tieria hated relying on Mikaela for every little thing, but there was nothing else he could do. He sat patiently as Mikaela wheeled him around, and allowed her to do the talking. He hoped that he wouldn't pass out in the hospital. The last thing he needed was to be mistaken for a patient ( ... )

She repressed a flare of annoyance at his tone, taking a deep breath and nodding...even though he couldn't see it because she was standing behind him. "All right," she murmured. "Just...double-checking." She squared her shoulders, and maneuvered their way into the room.

There was a man asleep in the first bed, and the second looked like it had been occupied until recently, the occupant out of the room for some tests. Mikaela pushed Tieria to the end of the room, ducking around the screen and out of sight of the rest of the room.

The Decepticon was awake, and definitely looked better than when she and 'Bee had brought him here--his eyes still looked a touch sunken, but someone had washed his hair and he was clean-shaven. He turned his head slowly to look at them, then narrowed his eyes and pointedly looked away again.

He didn't like being harsh towards her, but it created the illusion that he was feeling a little better.

Tieria waited anxiously as he was wheeled to where Blackout was positioned. He wondered if the Decepticon would be angry that he had come to visit. Would he remember everything, and be happy? (Perhaps happy was too strong a word.)

What greeted him seemed to be neither; instead, it was cold indifference. And somehow, that was worst of all.

"...Blackout?"

[Once she managed to get a worldhop to the world where Blackout was it was easy to find her way to the hospital. And the nurses were so nice and helpful... they gave her clear directions to Blackout's room and told her to ask if she needed anything else.

As she approached the door, she stopped outside the room and knocked softly. She wouldn't come in without his permission.]

[And if it had just been him in the room, she probably wouldn't have gotten it, but there were two other beds, and it was one of the people in one of the others that called for her to come in.

Blackout, at the end of the room and half-hidden behind a screen, ignored the noise, assuming the visitor was for one of the others.]

[Wanda smiled sweetly at the woman who invited her in. She exchanged a few polite greetings, asking how the woman was and telling her she hoped she would be well soon, before asking to be excused to meet Blackout.

Carefully, Wanda stepped around the screen, watching Blackout carefully.]

[softly.] Hello...

[...Frag. Too much to hope to be left alone, wasn't it? He turned to look at this newcomer invading his privacy, and faintly frowned.] Hnhh. [Sullen prick? Why yes, yes he is.]
