I like the weather, too...

... and this isn't global warming. This is El Nino, I think.

I was about to point in as well this is El Nino. Though global warming isn't completely out of the picture...

I like the weather too, but it also means a rush of people at work cause they realise they can make things outside in January and it makes me hate them.

Uh.. El Ninio is a DIRECT result of global warming, and works as an atmospheric anomaly (longer term). There is something seriously wrong with El Ninio, and it's unfortunate that we've covered it up with a buzzword so that people who are too lazy to inform themselves can just write it off as "atmospheric phenomenon".

I think its wrong and I hate you.

its people like you that will feel justified to drive their suv and not recycling. "I like this weather" they say. "its gonna become like my last vacation to cuba"

we'll, johnny boy, I'm sorry to break at you, but this weather means, trouble. trouble for the trees, the deaseases, the water supplies.

and now that you dont needs your winter coat: lets think about june-july.

yeah, thats gonna be fun. hot-fun.

so to answer your question: yes, I think its wrong to like this weather. I think its bogus to blame "El Nino" or El chubakabra for it and that we should all get fucking medals for fucking the planet so well.

well its not much of a justification but i dont even have a car, i put out more recycling to the curb than i do garbage, i conserve power (although i tend to forget about a wayward light from time to time) on top of that i hate the summer and warm weather, and people for that matter. if i could, i would go hide up north in the summer time ( ... )

well, at least I'm happy you did your homeworks.

and they do find dinopoop. archeologist find prehistoric man poop too and we call that coprolithes (yay! my studies were not in vain!)

fine, I guess you can like this weather. I'd probably appreciate it better if it was in Ireland though.

(and you forgot about the earth bein wiped out by the sun turning into a supernova... you know.. enventually)

Ok... I'm going to pull the "I know more than you b/c I have a degree in this crap" routine.. please take the following accordingly.

1) This is not normal, nor is it normal atmospheric change. I think we've covered that so far. Let me just clarify this for those of you who are too stupid to read a full paragraph:
El-Ninio is not normal, it is a direct response to global warming. Why? Because the average temperature of the ocean is rising faster than it EVER has in recorded history. We have quite a bit of recorded history to back that up, too. A couple of hunderd years of direct observation, coupled with a geological and cryologic record that goes back to sometime before apes walked upright ( ... )

Oh yeah, BTW:
The last two ice ages didn't happen remotely as quickly as this global warming has; they mostly took THOUSANDS of years to manifest. We've done the same amazing job, but in reverse, over the past HUNDRED years. If you think the next rise in sea level will be anything short of catastrophically fast, you're probably misinformed or deluded.

i am well aware that the change is happening too fast to be normal and faster than any icage or continental drift. im just saying that if or when this total catistrophic end to humanity happens, the world will continue spining as it always had and perhaps after a few million more years there might be new life.. and perhaps they wont screw it up as much as we are..

im not trying to argue in defense of global warming at all either.
im just saying that humanity can be very resourcful if it needs to therefore there is a chance that people could survive said impending doom
and if they dont... then perhaps when the earth becomes a giant waterball life will continue to live on it (or perhaps in it).

Well, that's true. We might not make it, but the rats and cockroaches will.
I don't think there is any chance humans (as a species) will survive. The mathematical/ statistical likelihood of another sentient species like us appearing is also astronomically low. Especially given the conditions needed (the primary one is good weather, BTW).

I fear not, we are only a molecule of something that will one day be water in the vastness of some alien ocean. I fear not for the world. I know it will change. In fact I expect it to. Since we know nothing about our environment, we can only sit and wait.. as we always have.. for the inevitable conclusion.
