Apparently Split is really nice - Dubrovnik is more picturesque and impressive but not much to do in the evenings and stuff. I've heard Split has an interesting music/club scene and lots of old winding little streets with hidden bars and restaurants and stuff, it sounds good. And it's a good place to stay to visit the islands too if you were wanting to do that.

Er? I don't know how i got here but you can get a bus from Split to Dubrovnik, there's a few a day and it takes about 4-5 hours

Thanks. We've already arranged somewhere to stay in Split now but hey, if the mood takes us at least we know there's the option.
