“I can has some fluffy WatXM Dominic/Pietro plz? Prompt: End of a long day.” Hope you like it <3
Magneto always demanded paper reports of their missions. Presumably, this was just another exercise in making Pietro’s life difficult (proven to be one of Magneto’s favorite pastimes) as he never showed any inclination towards actually reading them, but he still wanted them done.
Were it anyone else, Pietro would have ignored the blatantly useless order. Unfortunately, though, it wasn’t anyone else, it was his father, and that meant that mission write-ups went onto his desk, alongside the seemingly endless barrage of budgets, lists, and plans that he knew would never work but that he had to review anyway.
Pietro stared sullenly down at the half-finished report, tapping his pen against the paper. He didn’t even hear the door open until Dominic’s arms wrapped around his shoulders. He leaned back against Dominic’s chest out of habit, the man’s chin coming down to rest on top of his head.
After a moment, Dominic plucked the pen out of his hand. “You’ve been working too hard, Pie.” Pietro grabbed for it, grumbling, but Dominic held it up out of reach. “You need a break.”
Sighing, Pietro sat up straight again, trying to disentangle himself from the embrace. Dominic’s arms didn’t budge. “Get off, I don’t have the time for this right now, I-“ He cut off with a undignified yelp as Dominic hauled him out of his seat. He squirmed as he was marched towards the door. “Damn it, Dom, I’ve got work to do.”
“You are taking a break,” Dominic replied firmly, tone allowing no further protests. “The living room is free, we can watch a movie.” With that, he pushed Pietro out into the hallway. (And Pietro could have argued a little harder, admittedly, but he really was tired and he couldn’t even remember the last time they had the living room all to themselves. The paperwork would, unfortunately, still be there after the movie, what was an extra two hours?)
The DVD case was lying on the table when they got to the living room and Pietro snatched it up as Dominic went to put the disk in. It was a cheesy action flick from the looks of the ninja plastered on the cover. “Did you steal this from Mortimer’s room?”
“He will not miss it for one night," Dominic replied, waving a hand dismissively. He collapsed onto the sofa, shifting to allow Pietro to lean against his side. Draping his arm around Pietro’s shoulders, he pulled him closer as the movie started.
The movie was as horrible as it had looked, high on action scenes and accidental homoerotic undertones and very low on coherency. It wasn’t enough to hold Pietro’s attention and he found himself focusing instead on Dominic, watching his face out of the corner of his eye. Slipping his hand into Dominic’s, he tangled their fingers together and let his eyes close, listening to Dominic's breathing as he fell into sleep.
