[Private; Unhackable]

Hrm. I ran a school.

I had hoped Death the Kid would have remembered my relation to him, but there is little to be gained by worrying about that.

This is quite strange; while this information does explain my comfort around children, it leaves so many other questions to be answered.

Why would I, the Grim Reaper--Death--run a school? Why would a fellow shinigami--such as my son--attend a school? There is no possible way the entire school consisted of shinigami, so, in that case, were the remainder humans? If that is the case, what do I have to teach humans?

...A God of Death should interfere with only matters of death...

Beyond that, humans should be left to their own devices.

But yet, I ran a school that undoubtedly consisted of a good number of humans. Why?

...If I am here, what has become of the school, Shibusen? Troubling.

This island is quite an amazing force. Humans, angels, demons, aliens, men made of machine, and even gods such as myself are incapable of resisting its power. I hope whatever being is behind this power is wise enough to not misuse it.

...So, so many people here treat death so frivilously. While they may be animals, death is death is death. There is nothing to be gained from disappointment and yet I...

No, no. No anger. This world is not within my jurisdiction as the Grim Reaper. These are not my people to punish. They do not know better. Many lack the knowledge to fear death in such a way.

...A fear of death is oft derived from past experiences with death. Losing our memories, we...

Wait. Could this be the island's goal? Rather than as a punishment, could our presences here be the work of a being wishing to alleviate our pain by removing our memories and placing us in what is--most of the time--a paradise?

Ignorant, miserable fool.

Even a god cannot avoid fear. Fear, pain, experiences good and bad, those are what make us. Finding the courage to face fear and to overcome pain, that is how mortals and gods alike grow. By removing our memories you are doing us a disservice opposite to what you hope to achieve.

One must always have a fear and respect for death. Ignoring such a base concept is an outright insult to one in my...occupation.

...Of course, this is all assuming the motivation of this island and whatever beings responsible for its actions are doing so out of a mislead attempt to help others rather than solely to harm us for their own entertainment.

I actually hope this island is motivated by shallow malevolence rather than mislead benevolence.

...I will put more thought into this matter as I clean up the populace's mess. The state the island has been left in is deplorable. And those...souls. Those poor souls. It takes quite a sad, sad experience to cause the spirits of animals to walk the earth in unrest...

I know, I know I said my jurisdiction does not apply to this world, but until I am sure this world has a God of Death, I will do what little I will allow myself. I cannot sit idly by as the sad spirits of the dead walk among the living. Being animals is irrelevant.

Please, rest.

[Shinigami can be seen cleaning the mess left by the various turkey slaughters. He's carrying dozens of dead turkeys at once, flying to a location in the woods, and burying them. Not only this, but he is--as discreetly as possible--locating every single turkey ghost and devouring them, putting them to rest rather than leaving them to wander helplessly and in constant fear. Feel free to encounter him while he does either; people capable of seeing ghosts may be able to see what he's doing to them.]
