You're not going to believe this, but I had never heard of Kubin until now. I consider this a huge failure of my art education. Of course, now I want to go back in time and be his best friend. I've been planning on doing my own Deathdance series, so it's good for me to be aware of his. Thanks so much for mentioning him!

These untrustworthy trees live in from of a library I frequent. They're very beautiful, but they have some sort of disease that leaves bumps and knots all over their otherwise smooth limbs. They made me think of diseased aristocrats.
