Thanks! Well, now you know. I used to post more photos of myself, but I guess that was years and years ago?

I'm usually very camera-shy in real life. When someone pulls out a camera, I immediately begin to make awkward faces.

yeah maybe it was, because i don't remember. i also have a terrible memory though!

i hate having my photo taken, so i understand kind of. i am a) not photogenic and b) i recently gained weight so i just don't even want to go there ;)

I think my biggest problem is that I'm a total control freak. I know what angles and lighting situations don't work for me and I avoid them like the plague. When friends start to take pictures of me in public, my reaction is like a vampire to crucifixes and garlic. Because I know that if I comply, the result will be a red-eyed, poorly-lit photo where I look like I've got a triple chin! That is how I look in all my official identification pictures, because government and university bureaucracies are cruel.

Wow, that's super bright! Looks great!
The Dry Shampoo I bought was Klorane, I found it at Ulta, it's stupidly expensive (it cost me about 19 dollars) but it worked surprisingly well on my hair. I haven't tried it on bright red hair, but I assume that if people can use what is essentially white powder on dark brown hair without issue then it should work fine on red.
I found this site which has reviews if you'd like to check out other options: http://dryshampooguide.com/dry-shampoo-reviews

Also, I heard that for keeping up brighter crazier colors you can mix a bit of those straight out of the tube dyes (like manic panic) with your conditioner to help keep the color from fading. This is the kind of information I would have liked in High School.

Thanks for all the hints/links! The protein filler I used seems to help a lot... it's made from wheat, somehow, and it smells like wheat paste, funnily enough.

I'm definitely going to check out dry shampoo. A friend of mine mentioned Bumble and Bumble's dry shampoo at one point, and they have it in red. I'll probably try several things out and see how they work.
