Meh

How easy it is to slip back into old routines, for me this would be my infamous "hermit" mode. I haven't left the house in since returning from the birthday party, just been hanging around the house working on organizing my possessions and sketching and other creative endeavors. I had thought about waiting until my dad was gone for 4 hours or so ( Read more... )

I do hope to someday do some professional photography but right now I really don't have the set-up (dark room, enlarger, chemicals, a decent non-digital slr camera, photo-printer, etc.) or really the experience to shoot important events such as what you guys are going to need for your wedding, if I thought I had the qualifications to do the job I would jump at the opportunity but at the moment I don't think I would be a good choice for capturing such an important day on film. For the most part I just photograph things for reference for painting, constructing, or to manipulate digitally, mostly photos of bands and the like, and when I do take pics I use the "shotgun approach" (shooting 100 pics to get 10 that I like) which since I got a digital camera saves me tons on film but runs into a number of new problems. I can try to get in touch with some of my old college classmates that were photographers and see if they would be interested if you want.

Awesome, do you know if they are getting scarce yet and will require a gouging off of ebay to get or have you seen some still in stores? I didn't think anywhere here in Jasper would have them so I haven't really looked, although I bet the comic book store might for more than I would be willing to pay, I'll check in Bham the next time I am there.

Hmm, dunno, better isn't really the correct term, more productive I guess would be it, my fun is about the same but I gain skill points but then again my "social" plummets, I think ordering an expansion pack would solve it all. I actually am going to be shifting into visit mode tomorrow, want to borrow that Alice game for pc?

heh....pimping out a lawn mower. Hey whatever works, right? So how much photography do you do? I love photography. It's my escape.

I have Alice. Unfortunately I never finished it. When we moved to OH from FL my computer started acting up and the game wouldn't work anymore. It's cool though. I'm getting a new computer in the next couple of weeks.

Yeah, I never got around to asking dad if he wanted the sweetest lawn-care ride in the neighborhood but for some reason my sister thinks he might not be all for it, which is obvious insanity. I'll ask him now that I am back in town ( ... )

Oh come now...why wouldn't you're dad love a pimped out lawn mower?? I mean I know I would!

I can shoot anything and be happy. I just love taking pictures. I do both digital and film but mostly film. The digital comes in at the humane society. I take pictures of the animals for the website and digital is easier and cheaper in that situation. I'm actually looking into getting an enlarger and such and building a darkroom.

*gasps* No Alice movie? At least not for awhile. Well damn that sucks. I was looking forward to it too. Oh well. Hmm....I hadn't heard about the Oz movie. Ah but I'm curious now.
