At the gay bar, gay bar, gay bar, etc.

This weekend, I officially joined the ranks of the Leeds LGBT. Who, incidentally, are several times nicer than most of the people I've met in the hall. Funny, that ( Read more... )

Sounds like you were in Henry Price, that's where I am! If you happen to visit this girl again come and buzz on F4's door...I only have five hours of lectures a week so it's highly likely I'll be in!
Cockpit used to do a really cool gay night on a thursday, I think it was called Poptastic although wouldn't swear to it, was fun because they played good music...pop-indie, the cheesy stuff I guess, scissor sisters, garbage, hole, jet, darkness etc...I think it's moved to Mission now so if you ever fancy it let me know! Glad you had a good time on your scene tour.
As for our Buffy marathons...I've got the videos but lack the important ingredients of telly and vcr. Any ideas?

I might be off to Henry Price way this evening to meet up with some people before free drinks at the LGBT cocktail party. If I decide to randomly gatecrash, I'll text first so you know it's not some weird person who read livejournal and is coming to kill you or something. How do you manage with the shower-toilet same room combination, by the way?

Yep, Poptastic is in Mission now. Considering the size of The Cockpit, or lack of, the venue change seems good. There's nothing worse than dancing under some dude's armpit.

Speaking of lectures, I'd better get to one now. Nothing excites me more than collection methods for geographical data. Apart from maybe a lobotomy.

you might have heard of it from lgbt types at leeds, or indeed myself, but come along to RAZZMATAZZ on tues, its at bar phono in the merrion centre and this month is a wig theme, only £1 to get in if you wear one. if havent been to phono you should anyways its brilliant and dirt cheap and does some fantastic nights like pussy whipped and strangeways. say hi if ya like, ill be in a pink bob wig and am the only boy dj out of us four... x bob

I really want to go, but it's a bit scary going all on my lonesome. Nethertheless, if I do venture there, look out for a short, sneezy, very pale girl in whichever wig costed me £1.25 from Wilkinson.

Hey. I know you only though Abby's journal, but I thought I'd drop by and say hello, and comment on your latest entry, every word of which I sympathise with.

Being sick's quite a blessing, actually. I have no appetite, and can convince myself that being lonely and staying in every night is due to being ill, not due to being a boring idiot with no personality.Yep, that sounds like me too, particularly in my first months at University in Sunderland. And all of my second year. And quite a bit of this year too so far :P I know exactly what it means to feel like a boring idiot with no personality. Because, um, I am one. The thing is, University is supposed to be the "best years of your life" (*spit*) so if that's true, God help me. But I still can't figure out exactly how much of this big anticlimax has been my own fault. It's obviously mostly my fault, as I'm terrible at making friends and being social etc, but I do think I've had a little bad luck too. Of all the people I could've randomly been allocated to live with, I've been ( ... )
