Liz came up for the weekend, and being lazy students (okay, I'm a damn good cook but the one saucepan our kitchen has spent the past week festering in the washing-up bowl awaiting a bio-hazard sign) we decided to get take-away. Unfortunately, the only menu we could find was for 'Lucky's Pizza', the type of place who sell 18" pizzas for £7.50. It ( Read more... )

You should see the pizza you can get in the town I live!
A 'Redcar' Pizza! Which consists of of deep fried fish and chips on a pizza base and then covered in cheese!
Disgusting, not to mention the deep fried Mars bars :(
Needless to say, I HATE LIVING HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so, living in the classy college town that i do, i can one up your pizza--size-wise at least. there's this local joint called momo's which sells beer, pizza, and the occasional salad. here's the kicker: the slogan is "slices as big as your head!" and they really are as big as your head. i believe, that if you want to transport one of their x-large pizzas then you must put it in the trunk of your car, after having nearly tilted the box vertically to get it out of momo's door.

it's quite funny to see people eye's when they've just realized what they have ordered.

Not really, as I made that post over a month ago.

If you can make it to Leeds, though, there's a slice of so-greasy-it-drips garlic and olive pizza from Gangster's Little Bistro left over. It hasn't been touched for obvious reasons.
