Another wasted week...

Today's dinner is chicken in coriander and lemongrass, although probably not literally; I'm always quite disappointed that toss salad is some bitter, watery lettuce on a plate, and not a chance for my hall to break out into food fights ( Read more... )

Sad news indeed. It's a shame he wasn't so well-known in America, especially as he championed so many American bands.

I always thought he was pretty well-known. Of course, that could be because I've always hung in circles where he would be known. Never-mind me. The last time I was in touch with mainstream American pop-culture was 1986. :P

Heh, the last time you were in touch was mainstream American pop-culture was before I could walk. Suddenly, I'm feeling incredibly young...

Last night, my corridor woke me up at 2am, put five squares of rice krispie cake on the floor in spite of me insisting I didn't want any

Well that was nice. Maybe your corridor aren't unredeemable.

Have to admit, Working 9 to 5 is one of my favourite cheesy songs at the moment, and we have an in-flat joke about Barbie Girl, so I wouldn't have minded!
Sorry haven't been in touch this week, I did mean to come round or meet up or something but time's flown by. I'm actually typing this from my parent's house; I've come home for a long weekend, partly because my grandparents are down from Scotland visiting for a week and partly because I'm going to see Scissor Sisters tomorrow night with my sister.
Hopefully we can do something next week.

Working 9 to 5 is difficult to beat for a cheesy song! For contemporary cheese, Dragostea Din Tei by O-Zone is a winner, but you can't beat the classics. Yes, I have been spending too much time at gay clubs, need you ask...

I understand about time flying by. Which is why the essays I was given to do two weeks ago now seem a scarier prospect.
