The way we've set up Deathdealed is a little different from what you might be used to, but never fear, we will do our absolute best to explain how this works in a concise manner!
✖ There are three communities you are to join when you've been accepted into the game. Those would be
deathdealed,
deathrun, and
oocdealings.
✖ Oocdealings is our out of character community. Please use it for all of your ooc wheeling and dealing! Introduce yourself and your character, get to know your gamemates, or plot something with someone! It's all up to you.
✖ Deathrun is our log and action community. Deathdealed is a game that is based largely on face to face interaction with other characters, so we expect this comm to get a lot of use! Deathrun will have both open and closed logs, as well as some mod hosted logs, for everyone to mingle in.
✖ Deathdealed is the Igura Information Network - also called the IIN - and is a network that can be accessed on your character's phone. Think of connecting to a chatroom or forum from an iphone, it works in exactly that way. This entire community is text based, and used for information gathering, slandering, calling hits, or whatever else your character might want to do to get ahead!
✖ In your character's journal, a phone post is required. You're free to make this as fancy or as plain as you'd like. The phone post is for private calls or texts made by characters to other characters. While you can contact someone through the IIN, if it's someone your character knows and has access to their number, it's much safer to contact them directly.
✖ In your character's journal, we highly recommend that you have a Dog Tag tracking post, where you can keep a general idea of what tags your character may have! A big driving force of the game are the tags - they're what your characters are fighting each other over in order to get 52 of a deck of cards, they're what your characters use as payment for goods and services, and they will even come into play during certain events! Don't worry though - we don't expect anything to be exact or perfect. We're leaving it up to your discretion to decide how many tags your character has, and to note when they have less for when they needed to stock up on supplies/when they're stolen/lost/etc.
✖ Your character will be given 8 tags, randomly chosen, upon arrival. They will also be given a weapon, which will also be randomized, and a phone for communication.
✖ Every month, the mods will post an Activity Check post, where you will need to respond with two shows of your activity, per character. Your activity may be any 2 of these:
a) One Network Post
b) One Log Post
c) Threads that count up to 30 comments that your character has made.
You may also double up on the show of activity, such as posting two network posts, participating in/posting two log posts, and showing us 60 comments that your character has made. And yes - the comments made on the phone posts in your journals? Do count to the actual game. So if you've been making/receiving a lot of private calls and texts, all of those comments apply towards AC as well! Of course, we hope you'll decide to be even more active in Deathdealed.
✖ Largely, your character is left to survive in the setting that is Igura, and to try to keep ahead of their opponents. Aside from trying to get tags from other players, there are a bunch of things to do in Igura. In the neutral zones, where no fighting may take place, there are a few bars, stores, a club, a hotel, and a lounge. The buildings in the neutral zone are in decent shape, and fairly lively, because no one can constantly be on guard without going insane - they want you to play a game, after all, and going crazy after a few days would be so boring! The fighting zone, where everything goes, is... basically everywhere else! You're in a city that's been run down and some areas are decrepit and demolished - but you're still in a city. There's a library, a subway (though the trains don't work anymore - have fun walking the tracks), business buildings, small shops, and anything else you'd expect to find in a city! But do remember that these places aren't actually being run anymore, since the only people in Igura are the participants. But there's plenty to ransack, explore, break, etc! There will be events, so things don't get dull, as well as jobs up for grabs, and other things of that nature.
