1. Rule number one, is, of course, the Golden Rule! Do unto others as you would wish to have done unto yourself. Also known as: play nice, kiddies. If you have any problems, please do bring them to the mods! We're here to settle any miscommunications, misunderstandings, disputes, discomforts, etc.
2. You must be 17 or older to ride this ride, because
deathdealed has some very adult themes. These themes are (but not limited to) violence, drugs, sex, disfigurement, and death. Please be prepared for them! This is not a sugar sugar rainbows and clouds game.
3. We accept all kinds of characters here, as well as characters from all mediums. However, characters must be 12 and older to be played in the game. For characters under 15, we'll require a small blurb in the application as to why that character can handle playing in Igura.
For example: If you were to apply for Ciel Phantomhive from Kuroshitsuji, an answer might be that he is no stranger to bloodshed, canonly gets himself into dangerous situations, and manages to handle them despite being so young. Basically, we don't want any kids who are just going to cry and scream the entire time. There's no fun in that for anyone, and games are supposed to be fun.
4. Yes, we do accept Original Characters. In fact, we'd love to have them! However, Original Characters may not be from an already established canon.
5. No Godmodding, Metagaming, or Powerplaying please! We realize that in this premise, Godmodding, Powerplaying, and Metagaming are very enticing creatures but you have to remember that while your character may be strong or tough, there are many characters who are strong and tough. Communication is key! If writing a fight scene, please be aware that it's a two (or more) person project, and that your character having information they wouldn't know is not cool. Additionally, your character is your character, and someone's is theirs. Let's keep it this way!
6. The character limit, as of now, is 5. Each month, each character must show a display of activity to show us that you're actually playing them! You may mix and match 2 of the following to show us for activity each month:
a) A log post
b) A network post (a text post made to the IIN)
c) A thread or a mix of threads that reach up to at least 30 comments made by your character
You may use any of these two, or double up on them. Such as, you can make a log post and make a network post, or you can make two log posts. However, we highly encourage you to get out there and be even more active! :)
7. Death is entirely possible in this game, especially since some characters may be more aggressive about getting tags than others! Heck, some characters might even play just for the thrill of the kill, and not even care about getting their lives back. Currently, a character may die 3 times in game and be revived (however, at a cost, explained in greater detail
here). If your character dies a 4th time, they'll be judged as a weakling not worth the revival process and not interesting enough to keep around in the game, and just left dead. Each of the times they die, it will take one week for them to be revived, and there will be a price to pay.
8. Keep track of your character's Dog Tags! The mods will assign your character eight tags at random upon their acceptance, as well as a weapon to be given to them. The tags all have different worths, and in addition to needing to gather 52 as the goal of the game, tags are also how you pay for food, clothes, better weapons, and other necessities. Your characters will also win tags in brawls, fights, by stealing, etc! If a tag was stolen from your character, or of they lost a brawl, that needs to be kept track of. We're not going to hound you if you don't have every little thing perfect, of course, but knowing which tags your character has is a way to keep gameplay smooth!
9. Lastly, have fun!
