Has your mom looked into any programs such as Dayspring? I have a list of different services available based on insurance (or lack thereof). I'd be more than happy to pass the info to you. That kind of shit is an absolute mess, and unfortunately it takes time being out of it to realize just how bad things are/were.
I'm sorry to hear about your mom and what it is doing to the family. One of my best friends had a serious addiction to prescription pills that finally came to a head last summer. It almost ruined our relationship and it caused major problems with her parents. She eventually ended up in the kind of rehab that celebrities go to and, fortunately, was able to recover from her addiction in the two months that she was there. However, it took months to get her there and a run-in with the law to keep her there. It wasn't until she personally realized how much of a mess she was until she became accountable for her actions. I hope that your mom will also have that realization and get the help that she needs to recover.
I'm happy to hear that you are going to college. It is a step in the right direction.
The thing is, is that it's been going on for a while. We've all had sit downs with her the past couple of years. My sister will no longer let her see her kids, my other sister isnt going to let her be around her son when he is born...my dad and I found her at 4 am, laying on the living room floor barely breathing 2 weeks ago, and had to call the ambulance to get her, and she flat out denies she took anything. Then exactly a week later on her trip to Seattle with her mom and sisters, she pulled the exact same thing. Now my Dad is threatening divorce and it still wont sink in. I just dont know what to do any more....
