The Perks Of Being A Wallflower

Well, I took some advice, and borrowed The Perks Of Being A Wallflower. I just finished it. This is the greatest novel I have ever read, and I recommend it to everyone. I can't explain how much I related to the protagonist, Charlie, through his stage of development. The detail of the letters really does make the story more intimate than a diary ( Read more... )

I have The Smiths "Asleep" on my computer
I'm not sure but I think that song is mentioned in Perks.
If you want it I can send it to ya.

Actually, I don't have speakers on my new computer, that makes me sad. But I will be getting all the songs I can remember from the book, and burning a CD or whatever.

perks will always hold a special place... I dont think I knw of anyone... who wen tey read it said that it was one of their favorite books that they had ever read... or that they didnt relate in one way or another to charlie... I wanted tobe sam soo badly. haha. she was so awesome. but yea charlie... he's amazing. I remember I read that book in one day... my friend lent it to me first period... I skipped my first calss ever to read that book.. I read it through most of my classes... it was amazing. for Sarah greave's sweet 16 gift I gave her a series of pictures that had soemthing to do with quotes from that book. it's sweet. I think I'm goingto actually go and re-read it now. haha.

I relate to Charlie more than I would like to, in some ways. Which scares me a bit. I don't think any other book could match this one.

Yay for me and awesome recommendations! haha
I did the exact same thing you did... I borrowed it from a friend, then had to go out and buy my own copy. I've even gone back just to read certain parts.
I forgot A Separate Peace was mentioned in that... that's a good one, too. I actually own that. If you want to borrow it, I can bring it to rally with me.
The Great Gatsby is actually next on my list. I have to start reading it for english this week.

I'll see you in FOUR days!!
