I think Earth Hour is a neat idea, but it'd be cooler if they picked a different time. The Ontario gov't is making a big deal about turning off their lights for it, but c'mon--how many gov't building lights are ON on Saturday evenings, and how little effort/inconvenience is it going to cost them?? Try turning them off on, say, a Wednesday afternoon. That would show a heckuva lot more commitment.

It's possible that I am somewhat cynical about government. :-P

Talk to the WWF and find out why they chose the time. *shrug* I think (and this is just a guess) one of the things they are trying to do with the time is get office buildings to turn their lights off after the employees leave at night, and if they have to do that on Friday to meet Saturday's goal.... Also, it looks impressive to the casual observer if you turn off lights when they can notice it (i.e. night time), and they might ask why.

And working where you do, especially considering how many programs our current Environmental Minister has F-ing cut... I can't IMAGINE *cough*sarcasm*cough* why you would feel that way about the government! 0_0

Hello lady! I know it's been beyond an acceptable amount of time but I'm finally not sharing an apartment OR computer with anyone (I have my own place!) and can now sit (with my shiny new laptop) and spend hours surfing the net and reveling in my fandoms (without being kicked off or having the computer crash!)

So on that happy note - how are things at your end?

Hello!

I'm back in Quebec, in school and about to enter the evil exam phase. I am ridiculously unproductive, and way too easily distracted by shiny things... wait, that isn't new. Ummm... new fandoms, bad habits, changes on the homefront -- some good, some not-so-much.

Congrats on the new place and the shiny new computer, and welcome back!

Evil exams...I never get over the panic that word evokes in my brain. Good luck on them!

I'm starting to think I go through super productive and super non-productive life cycles. I think I'm entering into a hermit phase again...we shall see :) I like shiny things and am easily distracted again...

So what is tickling your fancy at the moment? BG, Supernatural? I thought of you this week as I'm now in charge of selling our (CTV and CHUM shows) on iTunes...one of which is Instant Star!

How is your sister and the rest of the fam? I hope everyone is doing well (I saw about your dad's surgery...I hope he's feeling much better!)

The real thing I miss on my new computer? No Photoshop! I only had my PC version and I'm on a MAC now...but I'm getting it this week...which is good because I really feel like delving into the icon making again...so therapeutic! I think I overdosed and am ready to start in again only now...lol

So much to catch up on...I feel like I've been in a cave!
