I feel the most for the Muslim author who inadvertently started the whole controversy by confessing to J-P that he couldn't find an illustrator bave enough to work on his childrens' book about the life of Mohammed. What HE did was for free speech, and for the enrichment of his faith. The cartoons and all of this paper-thin rhetoric about censorship is ridiculous.

I'm shocked by the nerve of some so-called lefties who've sided with Denmark on this; their rationale being "Well, it's just a cartoon! If I were a Muslim..." Well, guess what, you aren't. Fuck you. Personally, I don't have a problem with somebody using horse manure to depict the Virgin Mary. But my faith is the dominant one in Western Culture. Catholicism is what, five centuries older than Islam? Holy culural relativism, Batman!
