Brilliant as always. I had a multitude of emotions upon reading this at first -- sarcastic amusement (Kamui is in dire of need of a therapy), then I was touched and the ending served as an excellent punch -- it was unexpected. I thought that Fuuma was messing with Kamui's mind, but I didn't believe that it was figment of Kamui's imagination. What I really liked was the exchange between the doctors: it is always nice to see the X characters through other people's eyes. Also, the fact that I loved how the doctors summed up Kamui and Subaru's relationship -- they are kindred souls, indeed. Personally, I feel that you could expand this; the universe you have created for this ficlet is very intriguing.

ETA: You need not feel guilty for tormenting Kamui all the time. I used to do it in my (awful) fanfics, too. Besides, it is not as if Clamp is adamant on allowing the boy to lead a peaceful life.

Wow, I'm really glad the ending was able to surprise you. I wanted Kamui's mind to be completely gone for this ficlet. I was actually rather hesitant about posting this one, because I wasn't sure how the reaction would be. So far, it's good ( ... )
