I seriously feel intimidated by all the good art out there. I think that I've stalled in my development, and have no inspiration to move onwards ( Read more... )

Make yourself draw something new every day.

Even if it isn't completed.

Even if it isn't GOOD.

Just draw.

You're a great artist, Kimmers. IMHO, you could draw (literally) a piece of crap and make it look appealing. (Please don't, btw, that's gross.)

You just need to relax.

I echo the above and also say that you aren't alone in feeling like this, i do the same thing with my writing, and people tell me the same thing: write everyday.

Don't overthink it, don't worry about what you're drawing "for" or "why" you're drawing it, just let the process be in charge. And try not to compare, because your art is uniquely your art.

Yes, you are amazingly talented (I'm trying to remember if I actually have seen you draw a literal piece of crap...) and I'm willing to bet this just comes with the territory.

I think something else is making you feel blocked and afraid. Your skill in art has only improved, and you know that, and you haven't backslid at all. Maybe it's being overwhelmed with the pace of life? (and the fact that other artists can get 4-5 pieces up daily....wtf? the rest of us don't have that kind of time). Maybe you're afraid of rejection? Maybe it's something to do with another area of creativity in your life?
Perhaps you need a re-charge. You know, one day a week (or a month) where you just go somewhere away from computer, work, home, cell phone, whatever, and watch the world. And draw. Refill that creative pool inside you. I'll bet it helps.
