Italics are impressions from my first read, when I did not yet know what was going to happen.

10) The Weasleys are using the Fidelius Charm. Apparently you can be Secret Keeper for the place where you yourself live. Bill is for Shell Cottage. So WHY was James Potter not his own damn Secret Keeper?! Oh, right. Because there would have been no series. Also, how did Harry get to Shell Cottage and see it without Bill coming up to him and saying, "Bill and Fleur Weasley live at Shell Cottage" or some equally formal announcement?
Throughout this chapter, this REALLY bothered me. How can you be your own Secret Keeper? It doesn't make any sense ( ... )

This then brings up the question of why did Harry need to know where Grimmauld place was via Dumbledore if Moody could have just taken him in?

I don't think it works like that. Only a Secret Keeper can bring someone else inside the hidden place or pass on the secret. The trio accidentally dragged Yaxley back from the Ministry, but they were Secret Keepers for Grimmauld Place once Dumbledore died.

By they way, that's a really incredibly stupid way for the Fidelius Charm to work, isn't it? It means that you can torture the secrets out of someone, kill them and then become the Secret Keeper yourself. Gosh, that would make me feel really secure.

I'd think everyone would want to be their own Secret Keeper, especially James and Lily who knew that the traitor was someone in their inner circle. Why risk it? Make yourself Secret Keeper, and then sneak out one night to tell a few select people where they can find you. Then you hide safe in your house and only the people who are welcome can show up.

5) I think the hallows obsessive longing was linked to Voldemort's desire for the elder wand. I think Dumbledore wanted Harry to know about the hallows because he knew Voldemort would be after one or all of them and if he succeeded he wanted Harry to know what he might be up against.
