I didn't get in to University. There go all my mid to long term plans of getting out of Elgin and getting a better career.

aw hon, I'm sorry.
You could try again next year though, eh?

I can, but it means sticking around Elgin for another year. I wouldn't move away unless I knew for certain I had work lined up.

I was looking forward to getting away, to making a fresh start. To working with other people my age in the industry. I'm so isolated here.

Are there any other Uni's that could do this? Or what about clearing? They may have spaces once they've had all applicants and people "failed" to get in....

*hugs*

This is the only course in Scotland, and they said they'd tell me if I was on a waiting list.

Have you looked at UoG, by us, to see if there's anything suitable you'd like to do? I know it's a *long* way away, but we're here too.

And I can vouch for the fact that my university is one of the best in England, and only gets such little attention because in some of the parts of the uni have only been *uni* for about five years.
And you've seen the fun I have with my creative writing course ;)

Good luck hon.
