I think you've misinterpreted what Casey said. Zie likely meant "people" in a "humanistic" sense. Cares about them generally; wouldn't want them to suffer unecessarily, but otherwise doesn't give a flying Hell.

It's bad idea to try and smear other people (or, at least, color their friend's interpretation of them) based on a vague statement.

I didn't misinterpret anything. Casey said zie doesn't give a shit about me beyond how much zie cares about people in general, and what are the chances that only applies to me as far as people who talk to zir go? Zie actively avoids most of them as it is; tries to fool them into thinking zie's not online with an away message intended to look like a "this user is not online" message. Zie hasn't spoken to one particular friend of mine in about a year, according to said friend.

Casey only cares about people when something is going on about zir one way or another, preferably positively. It's simply snobbish the way zie decides to come down from the high heavens once in a while just to make a comment on something or someone, and gods forbid anyone disagree or zie will flip zir shit and run away.

I'm trying to smear no one, I'm just trying to warn them that Casey -- any friend really -- might not be all they seem.
