i. So yesterday my computer crashed about 6 times in succession, and now it won't start up. I lost my final paper for Science Fiction Writing among who knows what else, so you can imagine how pleased I am about that. I'm pretty well fed up with Dell, overall, and I'm thinking about buying myself a MacBook for Christmas. Turns out I can afford one, ( Read more... )

When I was 10, I liberated a crawfish from my neighbor's backyard boil. Actually, there was a group of us who did that, but I was the only one who kept mine. It lived in my bathroom sink for several months and freaked out my mom every time she saw it (in retrospect, I'm really surprised she let me keep it at all; it's possible I snuck it in the house from the start).

That one was for adopting really unusual pets, over all. There was the crawfish and then the tree frogs and then the hermit crabs and then the 12 beta fish, for which I still blame Mac, and, oh, the lizard I brought in one winter (which also freaked out my mom) and the cat with the broken hips and...the list goes on.

*still awake* Don't fail your final! That'll lead to self-confidence issues and social maladjustment. Whereas being awake for 36 hours just leads to extensive rambling and other people staring at you a lot. Mua ha ha. Ha.

(Now I'm going to buy myself some Jolt.)

I'M USING YOUR ICON. I thought I'd let you know. I'm also reading my flist, you should be proud!

Those poor exclamation marks, what did they do to you, eh? One day you're going to need to use one and it's just going to bite your finger off in protest. You should at least show them some basic courtesy.

Hello there -- I'm just letting you know that I used to be expositionary, got sick of switching journals, and decided to post fic in my personal journal instead. I'm in the process of re-friending and switching over; this is why a random stranger has friended you. ;)

Re. #5, apple juice > orange juice. And JKR does indeed abuse ellipses -- you haven't seen anything until you've seen what LM Montgomery does to them in some of the Anne books, though.

Hello,

7spells is now under new management, and we're just running through the claims table to check that everyone is planning to complete their claims. If you're still planning to finish then that's great, but if you would like to drop your claim then please tell us so we can edit the table.

Thank you,
7spells
