[Compile & Complete] Ururu, Kuukaku

Dec 31, 2006 02:07

Ururu put her feet on the ground just in time to keep her swing from bashing into Kuukaku. A part of her was disappointed that the woman had not given her another push; she wanted to recapture that feeling of flying into the air.

Another part of her refused to turn around to face the older woman. If she looked at Kuukaku, she might see that she honestly cared, and she might start crying. Ururu didn't want to cry. She always cried. She was tired of being the little girl who always cried. She wanted to be more like Jinta, who was bold and brave and never showed when he was sad or hurt or confused.

But the accusation against Urahara was too much to bear. "NO!" she exclaimed, whirling around to face Kuukaku. "Kisuke-san didn't do anything!" She stared into Kuukaku's eyes with trembling lips, trying to convince her of Urahara's innocence without breaking into tears.

Had she been anyone else, Kuukaku might have been taken aback by Ururu's fierce defense for her beloved... whatever Urahara was to the girl. As such, she only blinked, much more horrified by the fact that Ururu looked as if she were about to cry.

She didn't believe in Karma, but oh was it biting her in the ass.

"Okay, okay, I get it." She held up a placating hand, hoping that would calm the child sufficiently. "Urahara-- while not the model of perfect manners and heroism-- hell, neither am I-- didn't do anything. So that crosses him off the list. So if it's not the id-- Urahara, then what is it? Or who?"

She could deal with "who" better than "what". "Who" always ensured a beatdown... by HER hands-- er, hand.

Ururu took several deep breathes. "I'm sorry," she whispered, knowing that she was overreacting. She had to calm down. She had nothing to panic about.

"Something happened with the shinigami," she blurted out, quickly turning her head away so she wasn't looking Kuukaku in the eyes. She wasn't strong enough to keep her worry to herself. "Something really bad. It made Kisuke-san worry." She bit her lip and added in a whisper: "I don't know what it was." All she wanted was to know what was wrong with Urahara so that she could help him. All she wanted to do was help him.

But she couldn't help him from here. What was she doing here? She needed to be with him. "I-I'm sorry," she murmured, jumping off of the swing. "I need to go." She needed to be with Urahara.

She took off running.
