[ Approaching, quietly enough not to disturb, but enough noise not to sneak up on the man. ]

[ His ears catch the sound and his body reacts. One hand descends, closing easily around the grip of one tonfa as his other hand stills in its motions. There's no reply, no motion of acknowledgement beyond the smallest tip of his head - enough to catch sight of the other approaching. ]

What business do you have with me?

[ Keeping a cautious distance. ]

I meant to ask what it is you're doing.

[ A wise move. One Malik silently approves of - his head turning further to level the other with an even stare. ]

I am unfamiliar with this device. [ His attention shifts back to the phone, tilting it slightly to offer a view of the brightly lit screen. ]

[ If he'd been aware of the other's presence, he deemed it no threat. But his exploration of the phone stops as his thoughts do. ]

What knowledge do you have of this object? [ His tone is careful, guarded - though the hint of curiosity is still there to his words. ]
