Well, I'm back from Paris. Overall I'd say it was an alright trip... probably a B- in my book. Not because of the city itself (even though it was rainy and some of the people were very rude), but mostly because I went with a bunch of random annoying people. Ah, visit the Musée d'Orsay before you state that the Louvre is the best art museum in the world. It's on the other side of the Seine and a dozen or so blocks east. It houses nearly all the impressionists as well as a lot of Roudin pieces. The manageable size is definitely a bonus. In any case, art museums are definitely AMAZING after you've studied some of the works in them...I'm sure you've learned about a lot more artists and works than I did in the "Beaux Arts" unit in French 300, and even after that I was astounded when I went to Paris and saw the paintings in the museums. You must have been having a field day! That is so awesome that you just went to Paris for the weekend...I am green with envy. You are amazing. And props for not taking pictures! I hated seeing people do that in the museums...so useless...

Anyway this was a really long, rambling comment. When are you home for the holidays?

I'm coming home the 17th and I couldn't be more excited. Europe is rad and everything, but I'm starting to miss the stupid little things from home. The first thing I'll do is make myself a root beer float (they don't have root beer here!). Then, I'm going to call everyone up and we'll have a massive party and play Ring of Fire, the best drinking game ever. Fun times ahead.

And hey, if you ever have an extra $500 lying around, buy a ticket to the UK and stay awhile. :-P
