This is my first entry for fiber_friday. I laughed my ass off making this cuz it is kind of ugly and SO poorly sewn. I truely am a horrid sewer. Thank goodness I am only in it for the art cuz I can't sew a neat, accurate, straight line to save my life! I am glad I did this tho because I have been wanting to try quilting and had never done it before. I

That is GLORIOUS. You don't want it to fall apart (unless you do)... but don't "finish" it any more than you have to in order to say what you want to say. I enjoy it when textile artists can leave behind the fussy uptightness of traditional finishing-- it shows me they are free and somehow I relax.

I love it! I can't sew at all, and, like you, I am drawn to quilting. Maybe some day I'll get the guts to try it. Lord knows I have the fabric stash for it...
