Hey folx. I wish I had some art to show you but there is nothing major happening right now. I am playing a lot but not really finishing anything. Again with the finishing. Oy! Ebay sales are non existant which is really starting to bum me out. I have PILES of art in my basement and I am beginning to feel clogged up. Constipated. How's

I have set personal records this week for # of watchers on a listing vs. # of bids. As in, hugely many and none! Maybe people are subverting ebay to create their own private gallery experience.

I am not selling anywhere else. Soon we will have ebsq.

Oh I'm so glad you responded. Do you think it would be a bad idea to do some kind of 'big sale' and list a whole bunch of stuff with low starting prices? Just to get some movement happening. I don't want to under cut myself but I gotta get some of this stuff out of my basement. I have another question since I have your ear. How do you store your paintings you haven't sold? I have them laying around all over the floor and its a total mess.

The safest place to store stuff is on the wall, even if that means hanging everything salon style... right now I have art everywhere too, and stacks on the floor.

I was thinking to try some new listings and go for some variety maybe, but I can't go any lower on the pricing. I did my January studio sale and I can't do anything like that again for like three years. The studio sale worked for me really well as a way to place a lot of work quickly. But if you have them all the time, people lose confidence in your pricing.

Thanks for the advice. I've never had a studio sale so maybe I will. Sort of a get ready for spring kind of thing.

On the making and not finishing note, i have been working my ass off for 3 months and have mayyyyyybe 2 things for my show. seriously, i am not having the finishing vibe. and in turn, no selling. i am with ya. it is like bing constipated. my workbench looks like it's constipated!

I'm not selling anywhere right now. But it looks like I may get two shows soon, one in a cafe/head shop and one in a really cool bar up the street. I'm having a problem with painting though - I think my muse ran off. The good thing about ebay is I was painting and listing every day. It kept me on track painting.
