random song survey
This is fairly straightforward, you simply type the name of a song based on the cue given. The idea is that when you're done, you'll have a mix cd of songs you like that you could give to someone else to "broaden" their musical horizon.
1. A song from the last record you bought: "Casual Affair" by Tonic (From Lemon Parade)
2. A blues (not a necessarily a blues record but a song that is labeled (something) blues): erm...blues?? uh...can I count "Way to Blue" by Nick Drake? It doesn't have the soul of blues, but it's pretty...something.
3. A song that gets you going in the morning: "Pogo" by System of a Down
4. A song that you think is romantic: "Green Eyes" by Coldplay or "The Blower's Daughter" by Damien Rice
5. One of the earliest records that you can remember listening to: "Valerie" by Steve Winwood
6. A song that you discovered from a film: "Untitled" by Silverchair from Godzilla's soundtrack...the most depressing song in the world...
7. A song from your favourite band / artist (go on, pick one - don’t give me this ‘I don’t really like one band more than any others’ rubbish imagine a desert island and only one artist can soundtrack it - now choose a song!): right now? err *panics* *looks at cds frantically* uh... we'll just say "See You" by Foo Fighters because I'm in a "these notes are marked return to sender" mood.

16. A song that no matter when you hear it makes you ‘Feelgood’: for some reason..."Last Caress" by The Misfits
17. A song with the word ‘Look’ in the title: "Looking Back On Today" by The Ataris
18. From a member of the ‘Dead rockers society’: "Hello, I Love You" by The Doors
19. Your favourite Elvis song. (I know it's a narrow field and that every mix will end up having Elvis on it but that's part of the fun/challenge - will we all end up with the same tune or will we have a rich selection?): "Soul For Hire" by Elvis Costello! Yay for the lesser known Elvis!
