What do you think of homophobic/ racist/ sexist jokes (incl. other stereotypical terms)? The three views are:

1. It helps spread discrimination

2. They shouldn't be taken seriously because it really jokes about how ignorant people are to take them seriously.

3. The person guilty of making the joke doesn't know how much hurt it can cause to another ( Read more... )

I think blonde jokes are funny just cause I am a blonde and i know they arnt true.

I think jew, black & gay jokes are wrong. but gay jokes to me are a little less bad cause i'm closer to being gay then black or jewish.

I think making fun of jewish people is the most retarded thing cause they dont even do anything.
Most black people around here set bad examples for the rest of the black race. But i still dont like to joke around about them at all.

I get offended when anyone makes jokes about race or anything becuase it's just not right.

and for some twisted reason it's not too bad to say What's up nigga around here. I do it sometimes but i dont mean it in the black way, i just mean it like a thug way.
I duno, i guess i'm a hypocrit or something?

On one hand, it's highly offensive, but on the other hand we need to learn to laugh at ourselves sometimes. I, personally, don't find the gay/women jokes as offensive as I do the black jokes, because I AM gay/a woman. So I think if you're saying it to people of that status, and are just joking, it's fine. But to say it about someone else, or to be serious about it, is just wrong ( ... )
