Well, actually, that's not a word, so I guess those spelling whizkids would refuse to spell it, smelling trickery! Congratulations to sibling J of AH!

Madmoney abounding! Wow! Great jumping Goucher Gophers! Might oughta take'em up on it, how long does the decision take? Is SLC going to say something by 04/30?

Ah, those roads in the yellow wood!

Actually, the whole spelling bee winning kind of irritates me. My parents have always been kind of indifferent towards my passion for writing. Honestly, they couldn't care less. I feel like its been a passion pursued and encouraged by myself alone. And now, everyone feels that Joey is the only literate one in the family. I'm happy for him, yet, unrelentingly jealous too. It's like, "geez, I wish my parents cared about MY aspirations like they've encouraged Joey's!" Eh, maybe I'm just bitter.
So, Sarah Lawrence should tell me around the first week in April. Goucher isn't looking bad either. Which road is less travelled by, and does that make it necessarily better? So many quandaries... sigh.
Thanks for the comments though, they lighten things up around here.

I Thought So... auntjanice March 14 2006, 07:50:17 UTC
That is what I told JB yesterday I suspected was going on, although it was only a guess on my part (about the predilection being more predisposed from above as you allude to) but it's all about (to me anyway) what one can DO with one's words beyond the merely mechanistic (after all, these days even the spelling-challenged writer can have a spellcheck, a staff, an editor or something) but it's the ability to put them TOGETHER that I find intriguing). Not to mention that your vocabulary and spelling are prodigious anyway and could be someone else's editorial assistance for that matter ( ... )
