So, I've been skimming through the Goucher Course Catalogue and there's this bit about a writing placement exam (of course I summarily overlooked the mathematics placement exam). Anyway, depending on how well a student scores on this exam, they then get placed accordingly in either English 103, 104 or 105. The trend appears that if a student is not
