Poor Turk... Condolences to your friend Dean. (Please remind him that if he wants a new pet in the future, there are tons of them who've been abandoned or rescued from horrific conditions, and they're the bestest pets. Don't shop - adopt!)

I'm thrilled that Bailey is doing so well! Boy, you two had a pretty tough row to hoe... You're a good mom, Deb, and that's probably the biggest part of why Bailey is responding to treatment and getting better. (Dang, woman - could I possibly love you more? I don't think so...)

Enjoy your break from the reality of obligation. I don't know much about bowling, but somehow, the thought of hurling a ball the weight of a container of cat litter seems rather cathartic. Hmmm - I might have to check into this sport. Kicking a ball the weight of a dried-up container of potting soil just seems so lame...
