:-) This is my 'verse! I actually have three stories planned. They should all be self-contained, but if all goes well, I am planning for more.

Yay! I'm really glad you didn't wait for spn_j2_bigbang for this! You are one of the very few writers who can make me want to read an SPN AU. I love your POV here - kinda like an outsider POV, given all that's passed. Can't wait to see where this is going.

(It does make me want to re-read Accidents Will Happen by holli though, too!)

I actually don't think I've read that! Should I? I've tried to stay away from John stories for the last couple months to try to keep from being derivative. But if it's good, I'm so tempted...

I'm very sad about dropping out of BB, but there was just no way, time-wise. It's taken me forever to write this much. We'll see how this goes.

Thank you so much for all your encouragement! &hearts

Absolutely read that fic! It will not affect your storyline in the slightest, I can guarantee it! It's 5-10K - go read it now as a reward (well-deserved!) for posting!

ETA: I considered holding back on Locus Standi myself, and making it longer and using it for spn_gen_bigbang. But like you, I decided I just wanted to get it out there and not deal with the pressures of deadlines and everything. I'm glad you did the same thing!

Thank you - I might have read it but it's been a while, and I never mind re-reading a good story.

Yeah, I definitely enjoyed participating in the BB last year and adored my artist, but this year has been crazy in terms of time. Glad you posted your story as well!

(Are you enjoying Season 6? I don't remember seeing you posting...)

Yikes! A mere five years really have created a world that John could barely recognize.

It's so true. A kind reader let me know it's actually been six years! That pesky extra year...

I've found there are so many differences, it's hard to keep them all in mind while writing.

Aw, thanks! I do have some more written already and certainly more planned. It actually helps a lot to know there's interest. &hearts

Sam…he would hardly have recognized him. It’s like he just unfolds from the car.

unfold...wow, how come no one used this word before? I'm pretty tall myself and that's excatly what you have to do, when you want to get out of a (small) car.
Personally I love this fic, even though I haven't seen season 6 yet, ... it's pretty easy to understand, since it's written from Johns point of view, who doesn't know anything. But bringing him back to life will be hard on the boys. It's an issue they never really solved, yet partly the root of their problems in the past.

The tall members of my family do exactly this!

Wow, thank you so much for taking a chance when you haven't seen season 6. Definitely, John is the root of so many of the boys' issues. It's a shame JDM hasn't been available - otherwise, I'm sure the show would never have let him go. So much to think about.

Thank you so much for reading!
