Still in love with this 'verse!
I really felt with Sam here - it was obvious he didn't want to talk because he was embarrassed, but they left him no choice. I hate that!

John made me sad in this one by not knowing about Adam and his mom. He doesn't even know Sam and Dean know Adam existed. There's such a chasm between him and his boys.

Dean's fierce protectiveness continues to delight me!

I'm so glad you like the 'verse! I wouldn't worry to much about Sam though - I think he's pretty good at sticking up for himself and probably has been since he was little.

The whole Adam thing is just so incredibly sad. :+( I wonder what Show will do with that, if anything...

Thanks so much for reading! :)

Oh, not that I think something like that is going to emotionally break Sam. It's more a case of "I've been in that situation just two days ago and it led to a really embarassing scene and that sucked!"

I really wonder what Show will do with Adam, too. One thing's pretty certain, though: John's never gonna know about it.

Wow, that was such an awesome and satisfying installment to this awesome and satisfying 'verse. The part with the pig latin really had me choking up a bit -- I puzzled over it for a moment, because the language sounded familiar, and when I realized it was pig latin I grinned -- but then once I realized what it meant I got all misty-eyed. It's so awesome to see all the Winchesters together, even as fragmented as they are...

but oh man, that part where John asks about the ghouls... *shudder* That was heartbreaking and so intense.

Thanks for this! Love it so.

Yay, I'm so glad you read it and liked it! That just makes me happy.

By the way, your drive 'verse was the inspiration for my attempting a verse at all. I have no attention span and can't usually follow WIPs, but yours was a notable exception. Made me hope it was possible.

I kept thinking the title was going to give it all away, but it doesn't seem to have. Silly me...

Thanks so much! &hearts

A happy day is this showing up in my flist. :D

So good.

I adore your John in this. He's spot on. Exactly as I'd imagine him being coming back befuddled and out of the loop. Everyone is in such perfect character. I adored the reveal at the end. The line that made them all tear up. Um. Yeah.

I would so love to see JDM again. Sigh. This slow, wandering, and insightful interpretation of that happening is so rewarding to read.

This is so good to hear because it's exactly what I was worried about... that the roundabout way wouldn't be satisfying at all, compared to a more traditional plot pyramid...something I've never been particularly good at.

Thanks so much for your reassurance - totally encouraging! &hearts

(Are you working on any projects at the moment?)

I love this verse. I'm in the 'more please' camp for what it's worth. You set up the ultimate AU. I get that this feels concluded and can conclude here. But ... there's room for more. Your audience clearly is shouting encore :)

As to your query. Yeah. I'm *supposed* to be working on something. Sigh. Been blocked of late. Haven't added a word. I signed up for a J2 Meant to Be challenge. It sounded like cheesy fun. The mods took old Harlequin romances and used the descriptions as prompts. I claimed one. Only 3K minimum. Easy as pie. Right.

I take this super simple plot and decide to give Jared Asperger's Syndrome. So now I'm flippin' researching for days on end, etc. I reached about 25K words on the beast. So it's a big bang and not a tiny challenge anymore. And, it's not done. The deadline is end of September. I'm down to the final chapter, I think. It's still a heavy duty romance. But it got, um, complex. :) Not to mention life mirroring art -- I had a plotline of a same-sex wedding in NY. And now, hey, it's legal!

Writing blocks are hard... I spent my entire summer not writing. My oldest is leaving for college in four days, and it's been a little melancholy. Decided I needed to just force myself to write again, and this story appeared.

Maybe, I'll have some inspiration. I'm a little muddled with the advent of season 7 approaching... how do you do a parallel AU? I know people do it, but they are far more clever than I am.

You amaze me that you can come with 25K just like that. I seriously don't know how you do it. But yay, you're finally inflicting woes on Jared again! It's been a while, hasn't it? ;)

Hee, did you read this one first? There's definitely a verse, but I am not sure you need to read all, although it's probably helpful.

Hope you like the others as well! Thanks so much for the lovely feedback. :)
