My undergrad thesis was about Israeli children's books. One of my favorites for the younger children was "Et Zeh," if you can get your hands on it. It's about a kid named Noam, whose dad can't figure out what he wants, and Noam just keeps saying "Et zeh." Turns out he wants his dad to pick him up and play with him.
