soooo, thorboy and i went away on friday, came back yesterday afternoon.  our first weekend away, just the two of us!  and because we're THE most romantic people in the world, we spent most of one day of it at a gun show!  nothing says 'i love you' quite like buying matching his and her rifles!  it was great.  we also ate at the shiniest diner ever ( Read more... )

so miniblonde #1 managed one whole day back at school.  sigh.  she's now being set up for home instruction because she's still too sick/fatigued.  miniblonde #2, however, is back and going strong.  yay!

in other news, i'm happy.

the biggest news in my little world  today is that miniblondes went back to school.

so both offspring are still home, sick.  miniblonde #2 came back negative for mono testing, but has shown no improvement after 10 days of antibiotics.  their doctor thinks she really has mono anyway.  miniblonde #1 has developed new, probably not mono symptoms that i'm not allowed to discuss because she finds it embarrassing.  soooo, lets just say ( Read more... )

thorboy and i went hiking out at turkey point yesterday, which was fun until we realized it was duck season and we were probably in danger of being shot as we startled teh ducks.  then, on the way home, i saw an albino deer running with a whole bunch of not-albino deer!!!!  it felt very special getting to see it.
