I think we'll do without the autobiographies, fascinating though they might be, and let you keep Arkwright.

Funny you should mention Duolingo as I'd never heard of it before yesterday's University Challenge. Is it expensive?

Yes, I think Arkwright is worth a book or two.
Duolingo is free - I have it as an app on my phone but I don't know if there are other versions. It is very different from the way I learned languages at school - no conjugating verbs - I think you are expected to acquire grammar through osmosis. But my vocabulary is growing.
