Why, you may ask, is this person posting a picture of a slightly grubby lace tablecloth ? Well the answer is that this is hand tatted lace and whitework on rather lovely fine linen. It really is a lovely tablecloth and it was a massive bargain. Some charity shops seem on the ball with pricing and some don't appear to have a much of a clue or maybe this one thought people didn't use lace tablecloths anymore? They are always worth getting out for Sunday tea and special occasions :)

They had a rather nasty modern lace cloth priced at £9.99. I really don't understand their rationale for pricing! This is the same shop that I got a full dinner set including coffee pots and tea pots for £15 despite my explaining to them that on Ebay the coffee pot alone goes for more than that!
