Buying a computer on my Credit card?

Mar 30, 2007 04:49

Hi, I have a laptop computer that I want to buy, but it costs 2,000 to 3,000 and I wouldn't be able to pay it off in one month. It would most likely take a few months to pay. Any advice? Should I save up the money, or should I just go ahead and buy it?

Want or need?! I'd try and just save the money first. With my experience, everytime I say that I'll pay something off ASAP, something else comes up and I never do.

Depends on your interest rate and if you truly could pay $3000 off in a few months.

Well I figured out the exact ammount would be 2,615.94.

To the person that asked if its a want or a need, no its a want....not a need.
To the guy who asked if I could pay that ammount off in a few months I could pay it off pretty quickly because in the summertime my job ussually has large ammounts of overtime and also cause my boss is going on maternity leave and I will be the temporary manager while she is gone so my pay will go from 10.50 a hour to 12.50 a hour for 6 weeks while she is out of town. So that combined with the expected overtime....I expect to make around 5,000 gross income even before doing any overtime. But I am going to try and wait a few weeks to pay off my credit card, and to try to save up more....I already have 700 in savings.
