This is happening in Alabama too. I don't have a link because as far as I know, it's not getting covered (and I just did some digging), but remember the incredibly destructive tornadoes this past Spring? I've been hearing from folks in the area that the relief crews have lost a huge number of workers since the new racial profiling laws targeting immigrants went into effect.

Chilling. The prison industry is nightmarish but when you add involuntary servitude to it... My struggle is how to get people to realize this could BE them, their friends, their kids. It's not just about being "tough on crime" or feeling like you're getting back at every thug who intimidated you.
