i had to write a sonnet for english class, so i wrote about the tsunami. i dont think that it is that good, but i still think its worht posting.
I sat in thought beneath the large willow,
And looked out at the now receding sea
Beyond my view a child cried alone,
“I cannot find my mother, where is she?”
I turned to find the lost and lonely boy,
And gasped with horror as I saw empty,
Barren shores, desperate faces, and no joy
Where once had stood a nation was ghostly.
Now laid desolate, deathly, completely changed
I walked through broken streets, rubble, and dust.
Around me, all seemed lost, no hope remained
I knew within myself God is not just.
I breathed into my soul warm salty air
And felt a swift, cool breeze blow through my hair.
