“Anytime between ten am and three pm”. Hearing those seven little words can involve taking up almost a whole day.

Of course, it doesn't actually mean 10am-3pm. No no, that would be taking it too literally. It really means 2:30pm-3:30pm, unless you happen to go out to the shops for five/ten minutes. At that point, the time window for your delivery ( Read more... )

It's even worse w/ the cable people...if you make an appointment you request morning, afternoon, or evening. With the morning appointments especially, they usually don't arrive until about 5 minutes before the "deadline." As it always happens, I sit around the house all morning afraid to so much as use the bathroom or take a shower b/c I'm so afraid I'll miss them. When they finally get there at 12.25, they get a scowl from me. :)
