Remember summer_of_spike? My contribution the year I participated was to do drabbles for some of the episodes that Spike was in, starting with "School Hard". Of course, I didn't finish, not even close. But here are five more in the series, accompanied by an icon from the episode.

Five Drabbles, Rated:PG

These were all great, but I loved the "Goodbye Iowa" and "Who Are You" ones best. Lots of wonderful lines scattered throughout:

Maybe since he, Spike, wasn't much of a monster any more, Giles got sucked into some sort of natural vacuum, filling his empty space

The Slayer wants to believes his story because what? He’s tall?

Hee! It's as good a reason as I've ever thought of!

Walking away, he doesn't find it as satisfying as ripping their throats out.

long - and hard

Heh. Heh. Heh. < /beavis&Butthead>

Thanks. It's such fun writing Spike. (Glad you got that last joke ::snort:: ::snort::)

I loved your drabbles, particularly the last one. I'd have really liked to be in Spike's head when Faith-Buffy says those things to him... and now I know.

Thanks. Poor Spike was so confused by Faith-Buffy that violence was the only way he could express it (Watch out for flying glass!). 8 ]

These Spike's thoughts were right on. You can visualize each intance. Loved. "He hits them with withering sarcasm." when he couldn't bite them. Frustated Spike.

Oh, those are wonderful! I especially love the one for "A New Man"--I'd never before thought that it was the first time in his life Spike had really been alone. Poignant.

I didn't thought about Spike being on his own for the first time, either, until I started to write this. His first 'bachelor' pad!'

Thanks for reading and commenting. 8 ]
