Second of all, Group Improv competitions are nervous-making to an extreme degree. You will be very very very very nervous when you walk into the classroom and draw your scenarios, after which point your brain will become so overwrought with nerves that it shorts out your fear of screwing up and leaves your head clear (if slightly numb). You will then do an improv sketch that ends up at least satisfactory and maybe even really good.
In short, the anticipation is hard but the thing itself isn't. And it gets easier after the first time. Have fun!
