Rossi pisses me off often, but you know what? I really like him. I like the character and the idea of the character and the prickliness (which is a totally different prickliness from Gideons and yet puts him in the same orbital shell Gideon occupied -- that slight distance from the Team.) He quite relishes his bastard outsider status. Anyway, yeah, he did what needed to be done with Penelope. And the shattering of my Morgan/Garcia dream was partly made up for by the appearance of Nicky B. as her lovenoodle, but even more by her and Morgan's utterly sincere declarations of love. They will be friends forever, no matter what and they will still flirt shockingly when they are in their 80s. ::happysigh::
Good thought about the same orbital shell as Gideon. I didn't like the actor in the first ep he was in, but almost immediately they smoothed him into the stories better and I think Mantegna got more of a clue about how to fit in with the show (not the team, of course). I really liked his interaction with the militia in the Montana ep, how he knew them and knew how to play them, yet was not completely "better" than them -- e.g., the sniper was way more calm and composed than Rossi was as he waited to get a clean shot at the bad guy. Very nicely written. Now I'm enjoying how they use him in the show.
Flirting in their 80s. heh. Sorry about the shattering, but you're right there, they're both incorrigible.
Oh, I was totally a teenage fangirl at the end of this! Xander (poor guy - will he ever not be Xander?) was a total surprise to me, and ohhhhh, the ending! I want him to be a regular. I want Morgan to get all jealous. I want much happiness and love for Garcia. What a wonderful treat. And damn the writer's strike (give it up, AMPTP!)
Even though I'm a die-hard slash gal (Reid/Hotch, Mulder/Krycek) my deep inner geek was made blissfully happy.
Been catching a few episodes of "Men in Trees" and marvelling at how bland they've managed to make Nicholas Lea! *g* He's such a fantastic actor for angst, much underused.
I think I'd only want Morgan to get jealous in that friend way people do, but yeah, that would be okay! I'm so hoping they don't decide they can't afford to keep Kevin Lynch on, even though I don't imagine we'd see a huge lot of him, the show being what it is; but it now seems clear to me he DOES work in the same building, so... *little eeeeeeeeeeeeeee slips out!* I'm not sure I like his last name being Lynch, given what Criminal Minds tends to do with names, but will stay hopeful.
Please, PTB, settle this strike fairly and don't hurt our shows! *whimper*
ouch, yes, Lynch. I hope that doesn't signify too much.
And Garcia going out with Mr Mongrammed Shirts - that worked for me. We all do illogical things when our self-esteem has taken a battering. And Morgan's motormouth did hurt her.
Garcia being up and about so quickly was strange but at least they had her holding her side occasionally. *G*
