Why do you feel the need to push this issue so much? What did ESL, or any of us who cared about her, still cares, do to you?

nothing. but i despise people who get otehr people upset, especially over death, for no reason.

there's a chance she could be real, and if she is, i'll be the first to apologize, but chances are she's not. lets for a second, pretend that her friend stephanie were to ADMIT right this moment that she and ESL are the same person. Or, ESL comes back and admits that "dying" was an easy way out of whatever kind of issues she was having with her fanfic people.

by accepting this scenario temporarily, i'm not asking you to accept that i'm right.

but suppose i WAS right, and you had 100% proof behind it, proving it.

how would you feel? would you shrug it off and pretend like nothing happened, or would you feel utterly and totally fucked by this person(or persons)?

Reading this, I do however think I came off a little harsh on your community. I still disagree with how you're doing what you're doing - but I was mainly offended by the person going "LOL it's a fake!!", and that made me finally explode at you.

We're having a look around for proof, so we'll see.

well, i can get behind that entire statement (in general.. i didn't know esl.)

it happens a lot though, with people you even thought you knew. and i'll be the first to apologize if i can get behind some evidence that i'm wrong.

I just find it freakishly odd that CUrls says she's through with el jay, but keeps coming back and updating her journal with fanfiction blah blah blah.

No, they're not. They're skeptics. I'm skeptical of this situation as it's been presented. I don't like to see people upset by something that may turn out to be false because it damages them--the people who care enough to be upset. It damages their ability to trust others and have faith in them. It damages their ability to grow close to other people

If you just answered the questions about where she went to college etc and linked to proper death announcements, like in the local paper, maybe people would not hassle you anymore. It's understandable that you feel flustered and object to having to prove yourself, but if you did prove yourself, maybe you could save yourself more emotional stress.

The death was, indeed, a fake. Neither girl even exists. You may lay your witch hunt to a well-deserved rest, and, when you are done rejoicing over your cleverness, feel free to move on with your exciting internet lives. May they be long and full of drama, and may many more cases like this feed your existences. Peace out.
