I have some catching up to do! And I am spending today on the couch, recovering from having some dental work done this morning, so what better time to do it?

Fugitive Pieces by Anne Michaels: Sigh. I wanted to love this book, and for a while I thought I would. The first third of the book is devastating, full of gorgeous prose and powerful images.

I've always wanted to read E. M. Foster.

We added each other as friends a few months back but I had to stop posting for a bit. I am active again now, so if you feel like adding me again, I'm here.

Glad to hear that you're back--I will definitely add you again!

And I fully support the idea of reading E.M. Forster. He's right up at the very top of my list of favorite writers. If you're looking for a good place to start, you can't go wrong with A Room with a View, and Maurice is my personal favorite of his novels.
